Prof. Peter Victor goes to Westminster to talk climate change and wellbeing.
Professor Peter Victorof the Faculty of Environmental Studies will be in London on Thursday the 28th of October taking part as a speaker at a session of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Wellbeing Economics – “How does wellbeing economics help us deal with climate change?”
The meeting will be held at the Palace of Westminster and will focus on the issues associated with climate change and the need to make investments in green growth – now and into the future. The meeting will feature presentations on wellbeing economics and the implications it may have for policy development around climate change.
Victor’s recent book Managing without Growth: Slower by Design, not Disaster is an analysis of the limits to growth, the disconnect between economic growth and happiness and the overall inability of economic growth to fulfill other social and environmental objectives.
